I shall give up trying to help with judging the value of the Costco model. I hope it's been useful to somebody.
(I have read the specs of the other models and I know they are not the same as the Costco model. They were only intended as some sort of guide).

  • Well it's on offer from Monday. Has anyone found any more information on this one? Googling Toshiba P100-423 comes up with very little on this model: this forum and someone selling one on eBay for around £1,100!

Whatsat mean in non techie language.
My desktop has a NVIDIA GeForce2 MX 400 which is rated at 128-bit Single Data Rate (SDR) or 64-bit Double Data Rate (DDR) memory and it starts to struggle a bit with something like SIM CITY 4 or PhotoShop 7 as well as surfing etc at the same time [screen freeze]

  • Does the product code of the Toshiba P100-423 on offer at COSTCO start with PSPA0E, PSPA3E, PSPA4E or PSPA6E qualifying it for the express upgrade (i.e. free upgrade) to Windows Vista.

Yeah I bought one. It's very good. Certainly a lot better than the one it replaced, which is 4 years old. I am using it now actually and listening to the radio on it at the same time. It was also about half the price I paid for the one it replaced 4 years ago.

The product code starts with PSPAOE. Do I get a free upgrade to Vista?
  • Hey Guys,

Can anybody tell me when the offer for this appliance is on @ Costco ?
