Consumer deal for business?
Does anyone know if any of the mobile phone companies are willing to let a business sign up for a consumer deal?
I want an iPhone 4 for my business, but I make very few voice calls and so it is a waste of money to be locked into a business contract under which I am paying for 100 minutes or more per month. I just don't need a business contract. I realise that the level of service is higher on business contracts, for instance guaranteed rapid replacement of faulty phones, but this does not justify the extra cost for me.
However, there are no PAYG iPhone 4 business deals, so ideally I would like a PAYG consumer deal, but I need the purchase invoice/receipt to be in the name of my business. I can't just make the purchase in my own name and then reclaim from the business, because the tax rules are different in this case and the tax treatment would be very unfavourable.
I asked at an O2 shop but they said that it is not possible for them to sell a consumer deal to business.
