Yes, the poor souls are going to be limited to only £26k of taxpayers money per year. How on earth will they survive on that?

26k plus all their disabled benefits.
RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

For anyone in a household where an adult or a child is disabled, the cap won't apply anyway.

But, realisitically, it won't happen - there's no way any government, even this one, can lawfully reduce money to the point where children might suffer proper deprivation - so, if someone breeds themselves 10 kids, they will have to have their money made up to feed and clothe them.

I think, especially as there is no real 'start date', this 'bold announcement' was more about cheering up the Tory faithful a little than anything that will actually happen lol

THe Chavs know the Government will never let their kids go without food or Xbox so it's all just talk.

    Not so in London.

500 wk cap will eat up rent and council tax with nothing left to live on.

They will have to move away from London.

And if the goverment is as tough as they say they are, will you be happy to watch children starve .

If people can't feed their kids on £26k per year then perhaps they have their economic priorities wrong. Rather than buying the latest widescreen tv or games console, they could put aside a bit more money for food and less for luxuries.

Besides, there's loads of help on this website alone about feeding a family for under a certain amount. Just get the government to direct the starving, pot-bellied hoards to this website.

If anyone requires an income of over the £500 a week (those in London or with dozens of kids) it could be given in the form of food vouchers.

Let's be quite clear it does not cost much to eat reasonably nutriution foodstuff, that is adequate to provide good health and energy. It is a well known fact that the Italian peasant style foodstuff, is both cheap and really good for you, for example, pasta with beans, or that type of thing.

The problem is these chavs can't be A$rsed to cook and would rather go the the chinese take-away at £5 a pop. Personally I reckon if I had to I could buy enough food for myself to comfortably sustain myself for less than £10 per week. So this nonsense about them starving is utter tosh, what they'll have to do is give up, fags, booze, drugs, take-aways and all the other !!!!!! the state is paying for.
