Misadvised (mislead) roaming charges on VODAfraud

hi all,

back in august 2009 i contacted vodafone about possible packages to reduce roaming charges in vietnam and singapore for my father who has a line on my account,

i was advised that for £5 i could reduce the calls to 15p whilst roaming. as i work in the industry i'm aware that this was very CHEAP so i repeated and verified the cost, and to my surprise she agreed the cost, from these months up until june 2010 i incurred £1500 in call charges,(approx £1.80 a min not 15p per min like i was advised) i didnt keep track like i should as i didnt recieve bills or pay DDebits (my dad did) and my dad just unwittingly paid them assuming it was data charges. after he told me how much he was paying and saying he wasnt gonna use it anymore i was shocked to discover the prices.

straight away i contacted vodafone who refunded 10% (£150) straight away and advised to complain in an email after 5 emails i'm now asking for advice, i get very little response from vodafone (1 email stated i hadnt used it in august this year!) everytime i get a call from a foreign country they just dont understand what i mean. and was offered £1.80 compensation. its disgusting i work for another network and when things go wrong i fix it! no doubts about it.

i've told them to listen to the call, but conveniently no notes were left. i know my legal consumer rights but i need to know the best channel to go through? ofcom? wait for voda? trading standards?
