I LOVE the picnic idea - me and my OH do this every so often, mainly in the summer altho in the winter we do a carpet picnic in the lounge! :o)

Veg quiche, ratatoullie, stuffed peppers, soup, a half a baguette, wedges of nice cheese, some crackers, nice dips, celery sticks, a nice salad, a potato salad?

Do you have a thermos box? Ive got one that fits into my cooler (the irony!!) and keeps food warm for about 4hrs x x

Think I would go for a veggie bean chilli (kept warm in a thermos) - served with your goats cheese bread, it would be yummy in this weather! ;)

And I would also take along a flask of hot chocolate (marshmallows/chocolate sprinkles/squirty cream, etc, optional! :rotfl:) - something warm but sweet to finish the meal...

Have a lovely picnic, and congratulations on your anniversary! :D

A thermos lunchbox just helps keep food hot so if youre going for a winter picnic you dont have to only have cold food.
Another way of doing this is to put any hot food into an airtight tupperware container and the put that into an insulated picnic bag etc, so that it stays hot.
