Aged 16-24? Take part in an online research community with CFEB

Options
Hi Everyone

I'm working with CFEB (the Consumer Financial Education Body) and we are recruiting for an online community aimed at finding out more about young people's attitudes towards financial matters.

Participants will be rewarded with cash installments for completing the tasks we set, and our findings will be used to help transform the financial information available to young people in the future.

To apply to take part, please take our Money Species Facebook quiz. (Google 'money species quiz' and you should find the Facebook app as well as further information on CFEB's consumer site "Money Made Clear").

Once you've taken the quiz be sure to submit your email at the end to apply, and you'll also automatically be entered into a draw to win an iPad!

If you want to know more about it either:

- Post on this thread
- Email me at dominickATqubemediaDOTnet
- Check out CFEB's consumer page:

Thanks and good luck!

  • Hi, I have a couple of questions...

    1. Do the people involved have to be students?

    2. Can you tell us more about the tasks? Will they be carried out online or in person? And if in person, is there some sort of arrangement for travel costs etc to be refunded?

    Thanks
    Thank you competition posters!

I don't have Facebook. Shock horror, I know.
  • Hi, I have a couple of questions...

Certainly not, anybody living in the UK aged 16-24 can participate.

    2. Can you tell us more about the tasks? Will they be carried out online or in person? And if in person, is there some sort of arrangement for travel costs etc to be refunded?

    Thanks

Firstly, the tasks will all be set online, through a community website which we will be running. We will be asking our participants to write blog posts on various subjects about their lifestyle and their outlook on different issues, and also participate in forum discussions and one-on-one chat sessions. Points will be gained as each task is completed and participants will then be rewarded according to the points they accrue.

Hopefully that covers your questions for now, but do let me know if there is anything else.

Thanks for clearing that up, I've thought of another question in the process!

I was reading the terms and conditions of the Facebook quiz / iPad competition. It says that the iPad competition finishes on the 3rd October and further down that the application deadline is the 3rd October too, am I too late? Or have you posted on here to try and find more potential participants?

(In case you haven't guessed I ask quite a lot of questions before applying to anything!)
    Thank you competition posters!

No problem at all, questions are good! Yes we have actually extended the deadline so you still have a few days (it is still flexible to a degree) - the information in the terms and conditions will be updated soon.

And just to further clarify, the iPad draw will also remain open to people submitting their email through the quiz until we more or less have our target number of community participants.

    Hope that makes sense!
  • That does make sense, thanks (and I've registered my interest!)
    Thank you competition posters!
  • Glad to hear it! Have you got an email from me yet?

I should know who I've emailed of course, but not sure what your name/email address is you see...

    Yeah, I've got it :)

Without giving too much away, my email address is quite short, it begins with an S and ends with a D
    Thank you competition posters!
