  • Wow they are amazing - what a talent!
If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Amazing, I wnder if they were done with a 'dremel', supposed to be a really good tool for intricate carving. someone told me they were used for this as well as it being a power tool for delicate jobs,

and that would make a difference because .........

For myself, Sunday nights have some negative associations. At various times of my life this might have been because of:

The end of a fun weekend

Going home to normality, leaving friends behind

Back to school panics, homework not done

Back to boarding school fear and unhappiness

Working when everyone else is relaxing

    Realising something's over

Not being able to do Sunday things for another week

Losing control over how you spend your time

    Facing a week of boredom

Starting a week of doing something you dislike or dread.

There are good things too but essentially, I decided many years ago that Sunday nights weren't my favourites. Friday and Saturday nights I associate with possibilities, freedom, enjoyment, beginnings. Sadness for me comes more often from things I didn't do or achieve or get, rather than things that actually happened.

We're not here to analyse me, but I'm just saying why Sunday nights make me a bit thoughtful. I'm someone who associates 'feelings' and 'moods' with events very strongly. I try and be logical and objective but it's not my natural state.

I also know that by Monday morning things seem fine and life goes on. Sunday night is just a staging post in the weekly cycle. It's all fine in the end.

OK now you know I'm nuts!
  • Mike I know exactly what you mean! The thought of having to go back to work is always a bit of a downer, even if you actually quite like your work! And I had several years of living separately from my partner so that meant that Sunday night was almost always a goodbye and that seemed sad, even though I actually enjoyed having time to myself too (in fact we undoubtedly wouldn't have lasted so long as a couple of we'd been together all the time :rotfl:)
