Car towed away - Nottingham Goose Fair , anybody else ?

Has anybody else had their car towed away from the Mapperley Park/Cranmer Street recently ?
Parked last night about 6 pm on Cranmer Street and went with wife and 2 kids to the fair.On the road were signs saying "No loading" but nothing about strictly no parking at all.As have parked there for Years and also when going into town on a Sunday thought no more about it.
Returned at 7-45 pm to find no car and no clue to whether it had been towed away or stolen , returned to fair and found a policeman who said he had just found out some information for a Lady who had had the same thing happen.
It had been impounded and cost me £140 to get back out last night and was told by the counter assistant they had took at least 25 cars last night and were still counting.
Surely there should have been a better sign than No Loading which I thought was for delivering/picking up goods.
Anybody else had the same misfortune ?

May get a better response on The Parking Fines, Tickets & Parking Board.0

Tell them if it was a private car park or a council one, it make a shed load of difference.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

No Loading is actually putting it in stronger terms than No Parking. In some towns there are "bays" which permit loading but not parking. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

There are signs all over the area saying your car will be towed - I can't see how you could miss them.Gone ... or have I?0
