tax credit computers down?

i've just been told that the computers are down and won't be back online again until monday - has anyone heard anything?
I wanted to check that they updated my work details and some of the others on another forum are worried that their payments have gone down but can't check

Yep - they are offline from today until at least monday, possibly tuesday

Im not sure if it is related or not but i telephoned the HMRC enquiry line yesterday to make an enquiry about my Daughters tax code etc and their computers were down then . That was at around 1pm yesterday afternoon . The lady advised me to try again later on as they are open until 8pm.

I tried ringing again at 7pm but their system was still down.

They didnt mention that they would be down until Monday though . They told me to try again today.

with the computers down does this have an effect on payments,im due a payment tomorrow will it still go in?

yeh i phoned last night 7pm told were busy and to ring back i rang back again and spoke to some one who said their systems were down till monday i did phone at 8am this morning automated message say till tues i've had no payment since aug and was hoping to get answers and MONEY OWED BY THEM i just cant live at moment on what i get

surely payments will be as normal tomorrow as they surely would have let the major news tv companies or the public know as it would just be another co!k up from the government..

It happens to be the truth - phone them up and see what reply you get. That's trouble with being dependent on computers (or benefits).
