Send Texts Abroad for free

This only really works if you text one particualer person but has saved me nearly £200.00 in phone bills.

Purchase a very cheap pay as you go phone any network ( I brought an Orange £14.99) send the phone to the person you text alot then instead of using there overseas number to text use the UK number as you can use your texts bundle to send texts to any UK number weather they are in the uk or not and as it is free to recieve txts while a phone is roaming they wont get charged either.

Need to make sure the phone remains in credit as the mobile operator will disconnect otherwise.

I like the sound of that as i text my mum often. Only drawback is that she'll have to lug around two mobiles as it won't be cost effective for her to reply from the PAYG

If you are at your computer you can send texts for free from the following:-

Not all of them can receive replies, but the person you are texting can use their mobile to text you back, as they would do using your idea, obviously you would need your mobile switched on.
