    Evening all,

Just about to rescue my now dry clothes in case it rains overnight, then cook pasta to go with sauce which is ready...just for me and possibly DD4 as OH is in a strop and not going to eat...getting his sustenance from red Italian wine this evening, he is an adult so not going to worry.
He also had blood tests this morning prior to his consultant visit in ten days...maybe the loss of blood brought on the strop...he will get out of it in his own time, find it best to ignore him so will visit DIL2 later if I have the energy.

Started DGS2's Christmas sweater last night, going well so hope to get some more done to-night, going to get him a book for his birthday on 21st, don't spend much money on the grandchildren as opened an account for each of them when they were born, will be more useful than adding to 'stuff' they have all gathered through the years.

Kerry is in oestrus, so have had to go in an out several times today, up and down the garden and round the house, exercise for me too, will be having her spayed soon, so that will be an end to that hassle twice a year.

    JackieG...hugs.

JackieO...you are such a wonderfully cheerful person, you really cheer me up every day.

Might put on another load of bedclothes overnight, no cheap electricity for me but it will be ready for out when I get up in the morning. With only 2 of us here, would love to know where all the washing comes from.

Esmf...your OH sounds really depressed....is it that being a man he is not allowed to be depressed? Look after yourself.

Hello everybody I haven't mentioned, brain not functioning very well to-day....will go back to my knitting I think, which I can do in my sleep!

Where is everybody at the moment, we seem to have lost several regulars over the last couple of months.....don't like that, come back please.

    Hugs where appropriate, keep well.

    Hi everyone,

JackieG - chin up lass! I do admire that you are trying to fight off the 'black dog' rather than just giving in and wallowing in self-pity.

JackieO - might as well say it here but woohoo for your GC success so far! How the devil do you do it? And I don't blame you either for saying b*gger that for a game of soldiers to the blood test.

Taplady - aww to DS2 and GF.

Filofaxers - I don't even use any of that, I get really cheap spiral bound notebooks from the pound shop and use those for everything. I draw a week's diary inc. mealplans on a page (although there is largely only me to keep track of!) and then things like notes, freezer lists are written in the back pages and I rip bits off blank pages to do shopping lists etc. Learnt the art of the notepad from my mum :rotfl:. Does anyone else have things they have found they've unknowingly copied from their mothers (or indeed other relatives)?

Well nothing much to report here, just finished clearing up from my dinner (dahl and rice, which I recently realised with a slight shock is actually a vegan meal. Me eating vegan, who'd have thunk it!). Going to ring my mum now, she just phoned briefly last night to let me know she and dad were back from their holidays, so I want a full update on how it was. Apparently they got a load of complimentary goodies like champagne and chocs in the room because she told them it was their wedding anniversary. It wasn't, I think I am scandalised and impressed in equal proportions!
