            Hi again.
The strap ripped off my bag half way to uni (in the middle of the road, to top it off) so I waddled home attempting to carry all my stuff and now have very crampy hands and am doing my work at home for the morning It's so frustrating that I'm a bit worked up and finding it hard to concentrate. Sods law! Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 It's so frustrating that I'm a bit worked up and finding it hard to concentrate. Sods law! morning all!
nice and sunny here :j washing is on the line, I'm off to work after lunch so am doing a bit of housework this morning and also making a cheese and potato pie for tea - taking mine to work with me.
I've changed the beddng this morning and need to do a spot of paperwork later too.
Need to find a nice design (simple) for a birthday cake that I'm making at work for a service user to giver her Mum. I used to do this for a living but I'm way out of practice now(been well over ten years since I did cake decorating) but I was never as good as Celyn who does the most fabulous cakes.
DS2 stopped at his girlfriends house last night for the first time - DH collecting him later as he's off to work this afternoon.
D&DD - sounds like Rosie is settling in well!:)
hope everyone has a great day x xDo what you love :happyhear0

Good Morning everyone ,sun is shining but still a bit of an autumnal nip in the air.At least its dry,I have a bit of washing to go on the line shortly ,make the most of the breeze I think.
I went to the health centre for my 'fasting blood test' and wish I hadn't bothered .'Clinic closed due to staff shortages and illness.' please go to Medway hospital for testing. No way, not this cookie, I shall wait until the clinic opens again possibly next week. The thought of trekking to the hospital to sit in a room full, and I mean full, (around 50-70) of folk for best part of the morning with no food decided me I came home and had some porridge. My local hospital is a lovely place, but the blood test bit is a nightmare, as obviously the hospital gets first dibs with the testing coming down on big trolleys first, and leaving only a couple of nurses to do the rest of the waiting people. I have survived so far another week won't kill me
Yet another NSD for me today I am really doing well shopping from my freezer and quite pleased with the result in my purse.I will have to get a little bit tomorrow ,mainly fresh veg and perhaps some bread .I must make some room for the Christmas stuff as I always tend to not only get lots of left-over bits but the whoopsies at Christmas help make good food in the very looong month of January when sometime I can't get out because of the bad weather.I think I shall do a revised freezer list this morning to see whats available still in there .
Hope everyone has a good day and if your down, poorly or just a wee bit sad have a <<hug>>
 Cheers JackieO xx0

Morning all, gorgeous here, really enjoyed my dogwalking:j.I am about to do some ironing, and have just pressed my crochet cushion to be.Its not quite finished as its not turned out as big as I thought it would,so a bit more to do tonight.I love crochet when I'm sat watching television in the evening-its got to the point when my hands feel fidgety if I'm not 'hooking' :rotfl:
I shall pop to see Auntie this aft,now my bugs have gone.Unfortunately they have hopped to DS1,who now has a sore throat etc,so am dosing him with manuka honey & lemon. He says its helping and is really soothing
D&DD- loved the picture of Rosie, what a sweetie.
Adelight, have a nice cuppa and calm down a bit - you'll soon get back into your studying-hope it goes well. - you'll soon get back into your studying-hope it goes well.

            Good Morning,
Must be the morning for blood tests as im just back from mine and kids dad has his next week for diabetes so its fasting too. I did ok but absolutely hate having it tested as its one of those things I did as a midwife and did well. They always seem to miss my veins and I end up breathing like I am about to push a baby out :eek:
Anyway good decision Jackie O - breakfast it is and hope you enjoyed it too.
Hugs to ESMF - I do hope your husband feels better too and he is very luck having a wife who understands him x
Well its a lovely day today and the doggies are soaking up the rays. I love hearing about other people's pups and doggies. It is hard work int he early days but really worth it as they reward you with such love and loyalty :T:T
Im waiting for my cleaner to arrive. Then I will turf my two semi-adult children out of their pits  Both at home and both being totally selfish:mad:
DD is ill so should be more sympathetic I suppose!
OS - well washing is a whirring. I have caught up now but beds need changing so that will create a mountain.
Have a lovely day xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0

just waiting for Dh and Ds to get home - sausage sarnies for their lunch then I'll be off to work in just over an hour.

Made two apple pies and a bit of a couple of apple turnovers - not enough pastry left to cover a whole dish but didn't want to waste it. Gonna have some toast for lunch and a mini pie for dessert with ice cream
After that I suppose I really ought to get out into the garden, bought some pansies to bung in a couple of pots, need to strip out the dying flowers from my old pots. Hang another load on the line and maybe chase the dust round downstairs.
Got to cut some more broccoli from my plants for the kids tea. I've cut all the main heads months back but it's producing some lovely side florets, perfect for the kids
Tappers - enjoy your pasties. What did you bung in them? Quite fancy making some myself now........<drools>I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife Louise Brooks

What's happening to this thread? Can't believe this is still the first page! Come back eveyone - we miss you!
Went out to Cambridge this morning - really exciting after almost a full week indoors! Bought new trousers at M&S and some new make-up too. ( Am thinking this is certainly one of the oldest ways of cheering oneself up although hardly MS, just OS!) Was almost knocked senseless to see a filo*** refill for my pocket version (day to a page) was £10!!!!!!! Wonder if I could print off my own version???
Had hoped to go to the theatre this evening, but they have no seats left. A year ago we went several times to a theatre which at best was two-thirds full, often less - does this mean things are getting better - or a case of fiddling while Rome burns??
Either way, we get to stay home in front of the TV.
My course-work is finally done, so that's an achievement. have spent a short time bringing in the geraniums to the conservatory and otherwise tidying up the garden. Not too much housework tho'.
Oh well, hope you are all having good days. Take care.Resolution:

Just done a revised list of things in my freezer.Still got lots of food to eat up in there so a few more NSDs for me this month. I must try to eat a bit more fish I think as it seems to not get eaten a great deal.Tonight I have sausage and mash, carrots and peas all from my freezer.made a nice quiche this afternoon with several different sorts of chees all grated together and some onion and peppers and a couple of slices of bacon crisped up and crumbled so several lunches already cooked .0

Guys - thanks so much for all your thoughts. Am reading this before cooking tea (lamb chops reduced in Mr T, and cauliflower cheese) whilst the children are playing on the wii - screaming all the way! OH has just got out of bed - so I've not done as much as I needed to today, BUT I have had a great time sorting things out - and have loads of things to Ebay now!! Lovely sunny day this afternoon - and booked a treat for myself to look forward to - Good Food Show in B'ham in November! Girls day out xxxMe, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0
