Also remember when selling your sims that they are registered to you, ie once you have sold them on and the end user uses them in a crime the police will come a knocking on your door because when they phone the phone companies they were originally sent to you.
this has happened to people on here before just be aware that once you have sold them keep the buyers details so if the above does happen you can pass the details on. It will save you having to sift through your feedback trying to remember the persons login etc.Wins so Far: 21" lcd monitor, 6 day all expenses paid holiday to China, 8800GTX gfx card, 2x Panasonic cameras, 12 cups and Loads of Twix's, Coffee Lovers Hamper - Wild bean cafe. It can be proven very easily it was not you making calls/sending texts from a number
The networks dnt write down Clive Adams of 10 High street received sim cards with numbers 07816352783 4 5 6
They have your adress, send them- end of
As you can prove very easily you do not have the number anymore it'll be fine, don't let him worry you
Anyway, most people dnt register numbers, they sell them sealed and BN0 -

What about at car boot sales? Why would the police come knocking on your door, if you have nothing to do with the crime and they have no evidence. What happens if you can't prove this.SkipClick wrote:What about the car boot sales?. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Rough translation for OP
I think that you'd have to be very careful selling them at Car Boots, as you clearly aren't going to ask for the buyer's address.
As for the rest, I'm not a lawyer so can't help. Sorry!

Only thing to add is that if the Police ever need to trace a sim card they usually carry out SPOC checks depending on the seriousness of the offence (Single Point of Contact) who then liases with the phone companies who will disclose the information.
If a sim comes back as an unregistered PAYG - end of the matter. It's hardly ever worth spending thousands of pounds to pull out all the stops to find out when/where it was topped up - how and by whom...
Just to clarify - you'll NEVER have a knock on the door for a sim card you sold in the packet. :T"Only the dead have seen the end of war" - Plato :silenced:0
