Unfortunately, I've had to remove a post offering to buy sim cards:

Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: Sorry, a post has been removed. For legal reasons I have to discourage swapping, buying and selling on the forum (please see this rule). While it can be a very useful way of saving money it relies on a certain amount of trust between members and as such can cause problems (and has in the past). If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.

Also when listing them, watch your postage costs. If you are selling a large number, they are actually quite heavy. I've got in the region of 120 but I'm dreading to find out the cost of postage!

100 is normally around 20 quid special delivery.. and around 14 parcel force

Why would someone want to buy a hundred sim cards?

This is a genuine question.

In case you hadn't quite twigged, its to make money. if they have a shop thats sells them for £3 a pop and they buy 100 for £80, they have easy money

No offence intended to anybody here trying to scrape up a few quid, but everybody, his dog, his uncle and his cleaner knows that you can get sim cards free these days if you look around. The days of people paying for sim cards has definately passed. I have a friend who works in that industry, and the figures for sims purchased compared to sim distributed free is incredible.

You may be one of the lucky ones who makes a couple of quid, but dont be surprised if your one of the many who doesn't.

Definately your time would be better spent finding something else more rewarding to break your Ebay cherry with IMHO.

Im not in any way offended but please, dnt listen to people like this, he may've had a bad experiance, but if you do it right, its impossible NOT to make money IMHO

I have made alot, and as a student any extra £10 is helpful

I will post the little guide i made, the fairly short one here ina sec

I dnt have a shop, i don't list alot, but i no people that make a huge amount, by actually applying for all offers, buying numbers off ebay and selling for more, and buying cheap sims they see

This was the post i made a few days ago, its not very ebay related but more simcard related. If anyone really wants an ebay one, give me a few days and i'll create one. Im not by any means an ebay/simcard guru, but just trying to pass on what i know to others. If a BG feels this isn't ebay enough, please delete it

ok, here we go another post about sim cards lol

Heres some of what i know

o2 come with £2.50 credit on registering
voda £1

Orange are useless, i never order

We order them all to sell on- ebay or other methods. That for most is the point

They don't blacklist you for ordering on each available offer, they may well do this if you know, and abuse the methods of gaining urself 500+ vodafone sim cards each vodafone offer

This method isn't highly known and most won't abuse it fully

I currently have 150 sim cards in my room, and have received many more in the past

I don't bother with orange offers, and don't bother with all tmobile

A bulk of 100 o2 on ebay will go for about £80-£100 delivered, depending on how well u list, ur rating, and advertising methods you use

A single simcard goes for about £1 or 80p inc delivery

Orange sell for virtually nothing in fact 200 for £30 is the price on ebay at the mo

Virgin with the £5 credit attatched sell the best, but their offers are less frequent

Gold numbers sell obviously better- examples of these being

07856 111 111
07816 234567
07707 56 56 56

All numbers with 786 or 007 in are counted as gold

Up till recently the 077311 and 077310 prefixs gave unlimited texts by illegally changing centre number- PLEASE DON'T BE CONNED, THIS NO LONGER WORKS

Ordering to order music tracks off internet was popular as the music was £2.50 a song so everyone ordered using an o2 sim card- as it is, many sites have incresed their rate to £3 a song and this is increasingly harder to find a cheaper site for this

It is up to you why you order simcards

If anyone wants more information, i may well create a word document with all information people may need concerning ebay selling of them, simcard buying, freebie obtaining, and such

As for now, this is all i can see is relevant to the questions asked in this thread

Hope it helps
