Evening all
Only just registered on here, use martins alot for info but never really enter the forums.
Well . . . me and my good lady have just bought a house, not knowing anything about houses as it's our first house we're in need of some sound advice/info.
The house is 7yrs old and fitted with a Glow Worm Micron boiler with a cyclinder in a cupboard upstairs, does this mean the system is conventional?
We're looking at doing some work on the house and want to update the ensuite. Would the above setup be ok to run a shower panel style shower which requires a min of 1.5bar?
Also, the boiler is in band D, if we looked at changing the boiler what woul be a good option?
Sorry if I'm asking questions already been answerred many a times, I'm grumpy and tired (been sat at the computer since 6.30).
I'll probably have more questions in the morning when my heads back in gear.

Thanks for any help

Only a plumber can tell you if you have sufficient pressure for the shower. It normally depends of the height of the cold water tank in loft to give the pressure. However it is not a show stopper as you can fit pumps to give sufficient pressure(not expensive and operate on demand) - I have one.
With a Hot Water tank it is termed 'conventional', as opposed to a 'combi' that heats water on demand.
Never ever ever replace a working boiler to get something more efficient. Loads of posts on this - the savings are small and will never pay for the couple of thousand pounds for a new boiler.0 -
Thanks for the reply
I'll remember the point on the boiler, sound advice0
