Yeah I see now not to pay them anything! I should try and find details of every debt I have I guess. If it does total over 15,000 and I have to go through the route of bankrupcy, if a debt comes through I forgot about or whateva within a certain amount of time can I 'add it' as such to the bankrupcy unlike a DRO where anything I haven't declared that crops up is tough I cant add it later

BR covers all unsecured debt (few exceptions such as student loans, court fines) whether or not you put them on the paperwork.

All debts are covered by bankruptcy whether declared or not, (you would only get into trouble if you deliberetly did not disclose a debt to give yourself some advantage).

That being said you should try your best to give as much info as possible

One thing you can do cheaply is write to the credit agencies and ask for the information they hold on you, i think it costs £2 to do so and there are 3 main ones to write to, that a lot cheaper than £300

When you say credit agencies who do you mean? The people I owe money? Or is there 3 places I can write to that will be able to show me everything I owe?

All the banks give information to 3 companies that collect the info about you and work out your credit score, new creditors consult this to see if you are 'worthy' to be lent to ill see if i can find the details

Does bankrupcy cover every debt I have? The only thing I'm thinking about is a car I had on finance would that be classed as a secured loan?

It covers all unsecured debts (with the exceptions JCS1 pointed out) plus secured debts that have become unsecured because the asset has been sold, IE if you want to keep the asset such as a car you need to keep up the payments, if you dont want to keep it it can be handed back and any shortfall will go into the bankruptcy
