Urgent assistance needed...pls help
Its really a dump question...but I don't know the asnwer for it.
I've hired a PUGEOT 308 S Auto car from AVIS rental, but I'm not sure about the fuel type of this capr (Petrol/diesel)...and coz Avis is closed for the day I don't know whom to ask.
The only details I can get out of the agreement is
Fuel type - Unleaded
Thats it, how dump is that....and I don't want to put the wrong fuel in there that'll cost me a fortune to repair....a friend of mine told me that you can't put a diesel nozzle on a petrol car when you'r filling up, But I'm not buying.
So please the smart guys out there...please help me out. I need to take this baby out to work early tomorrow morning...and the fuel running very very low...

Sounds like it's petrol.
Some newer cars have the fuel type printed on the fuel cap too - worth having a look.0 -
unleaded should be petrol0

Just incase I misunderstood you, you are confused as to what fuel to put in the car? Even if you haven't answered your own question, rental cars often have the fuel type required on the filler cap itself, or on the opening flap leading to the filler. Other than that, it's fairly eay to tell the difference under the bonnet, but don't want to confuse matters!0 -
Europcar have the fuel type on the keyring, I assume most rental firms would.
Unleaded = petrol though, lol.0 -
When did you last drive a car, ?

I'm really thankful for the immediate response from the forum members... I was really confused between unleaded vs the different diesel type that bp offers ie standard diesel and utimate diesel - I took ultimate diesel as uleaded diesel - Thats why when I saw unleaded in Avis paperwork I took it as a different diesel type....anyway..I'm off to fill my tank with petrol....thanks again..for all who replied....0

Jesus christ.....
How the hell did you come to the conclusion that ultimate means the same as unleaded? Its not like unleaded petrol is something new - we've had it in the UK for over 20 years.
For the benefit of the rest of the people using the roads, can you please surrender your licence? Some people are just too dumb to drive. Someone who cannot work out that unleaded means petrol is in that category.
Please don't tell me you have a job where you make decisions.0
