what does the fuel flap say
what does the keyring say
what does the rev guage go upto
open the bonnet, are there are clues like a turbo, or the letters "hdi"
try getting an insurance quote on the reg plate, it will tell you
use the ask mid service to tell you the fuel type
open the fuel cap and sniff it

I think you're all being a little unfair. My wife's knowledge of a car's mechanics is a huge

How can somebody not know the difference between diesel and unleaded petrol, though your friend is correct a diesel pump nozzle will not fit in a petrol filler.0 -
