Thanks for cheering me up, i never really factored in the discount that TRS gives anyway so not going to miss that much. Just worried sales will drop but hey i managed before that so i'm sure things will be fine. Can't see many keepin TRS if your only allowed 3 low stars in a 12mth period. Your always going to get the numpties who hit 1's 2's as standard. I still don't get the system though how can i with 4.8-4.9 for dispatch not be worthy of my TRS when someone with 4.5-4.6 is! Stupid star system- and for the record as a buyer i have never left a seller a lower than 4 star even when they've been poor i wouldn't want to ruin their business.
I have a hunch they were left by newbies-ebay really should give lessons out before buying. Anyone know if it warns a buyer when leaving stars that they are leaving a poor rating? Like they do with a neg?0 -

Recently I left poor stars for an item which p&p was massively over priced. I was expecting some kind of message asking to resolve with the seller, but nothing came up.
If I were in your shoes I would only post by 1st class for a while to see if you can get your stars up.
I have listing a few things this last month & quoted for 2nd class in my listings. When I got to the post office I realised that my scales must be out as pretty much all the items were coming in at less then when I had weighed them, so I sent all the items by first class instead. I tend to send a message once I have sent the items & in that message I mentioned I had upgraded to 1st class.
My DSR's have always been 4.8 for p&p (even when I was going through a stint of free p&p!), then this week I noticed they had "jumped" to 4.9! The only thing I can think is that my buyers thought they were getting a better deal so marked my stars better.0 -

Thought you didn't leave feedback for sellers ? Isn't this what you wrote in your other threadlindseykim13 wrote:I don't leave fb for anyone full stop! You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

Thanks thats a big help at least i can hope 1 or 2 were left in error, otherwise i think i will take your advice and post 1st class for a while although it seems to take ages for those dsr's to improve.0 -

Yes, it does warn people, it asks you to comment specifically on why you are rating them a 1 or a 2."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

I'm running at 4.96 for despatch time and always use 2nd class.
Me too but unlike the OP I always post next day. (And I even used the 'Sellers Standard Rate' but alas no more.) A lot of the time it arrives as quick as 1st class. I even had a Standard Parcels item arrive next day the other week!0
