Hi
Im relatively new to buying on ebay and this is the first time ive come across this. Ive seen an item i want which retails at £150 and generally on ebay goes for around £120 ish. However there is a seller selling them and they seem to be going for aroun 30-40.
The seller has about 110 items listed for sale but only has a score of 12.
He doesnt accept paypal - only postal order or bankers draft
Does this seem too good to be true?

i havent seen the auction but i dont accept paypal and I'm no scammer seems people are clued up with paypal now, to the people that praise paypal so much, you wait until you are scammed using it and will soon realise that its no safer than chq or postal order ie. the scammer can set up a paypal account take your money empty his paypal account and you have no chance of getting your money back, yeah big deal paypal will suspend the sellers account but i dont suppose the scammer is going to mind. just by accepting paypal doesnt mean your honest. have you checked the feedback is there any previous auctions of the same thing that they have good feeback on.
can you not ask for cash on collection or are they too far away etc. i'm not saying the seller is legit but just because they have low feedback and dont accept paypal doesnt mean there scammers we all started there once.Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0 -

Scammers like to buy 10 1p e-books and get 10 lots of feedback before they start offering deals that are too good to be true.
Have you looked at the items his 12 feedbacks are for?My TV is broken!

I'm not saying that those who don't accept paypal are scammers.
There are two other good reasons to be suspicious... and not accepting paypal is the icing on the cake. (Because there is NO chance of getting your money back from a scammer if you pay with a postal order)My TV is broken!

Oh dear... what I MEANT was in the context of the other information in the OP, the lack of paypal is BAD NEWS. I hope you wouldn't condone a purchase from this person.
I look forward to being proven right about this seller. My TV is broken!

Ive had a look at the other items sold. 5 sold all this month with feedback from people. All feedback left was by folk with 200 plus scores themselves. Items ranged from £10-£150. The items sold seem to show good savings against normal retail prices.
I dont want to list the things in case it is legit etc.
hmmmm im not sure what to do!!0
