All For Nothing

Options
I've only just got round to seeing if theres any mail. Theres a letter from the Court saying the claimant has possession of my home, which i know,( but i thought its the OR's interest, primarily ), but it also says it is adjudged that the claimant recover against the defendant the sum of £* for debt and interest to date of judgement, ( the full amount outstanding, in total), before my bankruptcy.

That means i've lost my home, but i've still got to pay for it,in full? So should'nt i live in it, in this case? I've got an appointment with the advice agency tomorrow, i rang them straight away.No mention of this was made at the Court hearing, and its taken 3 weeks for this letter to arrive.

Its all been for nothing. Bankruptcy, losing my home, feeling like this. Maybe i'm naive, but i've no idea whats going on.I really can't take any more.

You are BR you don't owe any one anything.

All that happen's now is the mortgage co. will chase you for the money until the house is sold and the debt becomes unsecured and falls into your BR but you don't have to do anything about it. They can go swivel until then.

I don't know what to think anymore, but this letter states the judge says the debt has to be recovered. This is a living nightmare.Theres no escape. How stupid have i been? Whats the point in trying to get back to work? But i guess i've still got to pay back what i owe. Oh, i'm so confused.

Oh, thanks for replying, by the way

No you don't have to pay it back. The fees fall into your BR, the judge obviously doesn't know you are BR. Just stop panicing, take a deep breath and breeeeeeath.

YOU DO NOT OWE ANY BODY ANYTHING YOU ARE BR.

As I said the rest will go into the BR as soon as they become unsecured, you just have to sit tight until then.

Please stop worrying. You do not owe anything. The debt has/will become unsecured and will fall into the Bankruptcy.

    Please dont worry

S*** Thanks for replying guys. I did go right into panic mode there. I'll try and start breathing again, i feel slightly calmer now. Can't stop crying though. When it hits you in black and white, it becomes a reality, again. Its an emotional time, right now. Keep breathing deeply...
See what they say tomorrow. I still don't know what to do with the keys, and i don't want to be here when the baliffs come..

    Thanks everyone

have u got a new place to move to yet??

you dont have to be there when the baliffs come. if you have moved out already, you could post the keys to the mortgage company. they will change the locks anyway.

we weren't there when they bailiffs came. apparently two turned up in a white unmarked van, were there all of 10 mins, changed the locks. job done. (my mother in law lives 4 doors down from where we used to live, so i know this on good authority!)

it is an emotional time. it sure is one hell of a rollercoaster ride. it does get easier. i promise xx

Feel a bit better now. This has been going on for so long, its months since i went bankrupt, and i still have'nt got to the stage where i feel its ever going to be over Well at least the letter has given me an official date for repossession. Just in time for bonfire night. How apt.

Love to you all Nohope xx

    Thanks pp,

Yes, i've got somewhere to go now, temporarily. Its still an unsettling time, though, not having anywhere permanent to live.

I don't want to be there when the baliffs come, but someone said you do have to be there, ( i can't remember who ). I'm planning on moving out as soon as possible, ( which maybe alot earlier than i thought ).

I'd like to see them change the lock on the front door. It will take them more than 10 mins. Its upsetting writing that, because it becomes more of a reality. Some one is changing the locks to MY home. But it is'nt anymore, and yes, i know its just bricks and mortar....

I prefer the rollercoaster ride, rather than the emotional rollercoaster ride, i once went on the big one, 20 times in succession. Its true. There was no one else in the park. But i want to get off this one. I've had enough now...............

    Thanks again xx
