    thank you all, norton is no longer anywhere on my pc and all the security settings have been checked and triple checked :-)

    i get far too confused with things like this, i see things that i dont understand and my mind switches itself off so i have read and reread this again and again!!

    im sure if theres nothing your not sure about we will happily try to answer

    I had MsSE until a few days ago then it started using 50% CPU at all times. After several reloads & restores I gave up and went back to Avira
