saving contacts on a mobile phone when changing networks

I am going to change a couple of mobile phones to different networks,what is the best way to transfer contacts on old sim cards to a new sim card in a new phone.

First make sure your contacts are saved to your old phone, then put your new sim in your old phone and there should be an option to send all your contacts to the sim then put the new sim in your new phone, easy :T
