That's OK, we can download OpenOffice and AVG easily enough, I'll probably remove everything else to make it run a bit quicker, she uses Chrome rather than IE anyway which is good as that's very resource hungry.
We're looking at either this Sony:

Or the Dell:

I'm actually selling my netbook on ebay at the moment. They are great for traveling with but they do lack in power. I've gone for an ultra portable acer timeline. They're just a bit heavier than a netbook have a 13 inch screen, dedicated graphics and dual core CPU. I'd go for one of these or a refurb laptop as netbook can struggle with websites like youtube.0

Having owned a few Netbooks in the past I can recommend them - I've had a Samsung NC10, sold that for a Samsung N510, then got an ASUS 1008HA and now selling my MSI Wind U100 plus !
All have been great little machines and do perform really well - I only sell them when I get bored or due to lack of funds at the end of the month !!!
They all seem to perform better than my works Dell D630 which is a dual core thing with a big screen, loads of memory and a battery that lasts 5 minutes - I'd rather use a Netbook any day !0 -
Basically everyone has a different opinion about them!

We'll see how the wife gets on with one, we can always sell it or swap for a higher power thing later on.Trev. Having an out-of-money experience!
