Poundland Universal Remote Controls

Hi All,

I was in Poundland the other day and saw a Universal Remote Control, obviously for £1...

I did ask if they knew if it would work with relatively recent equipment or if it had to be quite old. They didn't know, which is not that surprising.

I bought one at least 5 years back from a 99p store and the stuff it would work was amazing - at least 3 tellies and a hi-fi system. But not Freeview STBs.

But I wonder if these recent Remote Controls would work PVRs and Freeview boxes ? Has anyone bought one within the last few months and got it to work with them?
