In fact how can you get discount if you are a student, I could get my fiance's wee sister to get it, she is a student.0

You need to buy it through a website like topcashback or quidco. Topcashback offer £12 on a PAYG handset bought from Orange. I'm not sure what Quidco offer. The unlock code from nckcodes was about £2-£3 but that was a special offer and may have gone up slightly.
It's worth remembering that Martin advises that cashback should be regarded as a bonus and shouldn't on its own be a reason for going ahead with a purchase from a particular site. Apart from anything else, it has been known for purchases not to 'track' properly. If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button

Orange offer 10% discount and give an extra £10 top-up the first time you add £10 yourself if you have an NUS card. The card costs £11 but can be used for many other discounts, too (cinema and stuff). It's probably best to have a look at the National Union of Students website first to see if it's worth her while joining or if she even qualifies to join.If I've helped you please show your appreciation by using the "Thanks" button

It is also worth noting, that if you top up with £30 you get £60 credit (£10 per month for 6 months) or at £149 you get 12 months top up (again £10 per month)0 -

Hubby bought an Orange San Francisco last week and paid £89.99 for it. He got the discount for being an existing orange customer even though he hasn't topped up his phone in months, if not years.
I called them yesterday to order one and ended up paying £79.99! Admittedly to get that deal took a few tries by calling, asking for a deal then calling again to speak with someone else.
I told the lovely lady that hubby had got a deal so I would like one too. Kept the chat friendly and she got me a deal.
I am going onto T-mobile with mine once unlocked (unless I find a better deal soon) 100 mins, 100 txt and 500mb of internet a month for £10.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
+1 for Orange San Fransisco and the unlock suggestion NCK, brilliant bit of kit for the money, especially when rooted and flashed to get rid of the Orange bloatware. google modaco for more info on how to do this.
You can get the student discount by entering 15 zeros where it asks for the NUS number by the way Also £15 cashback from TCB. Without doubt the best phone bargain around at the moment.
