The majority of people believe comet bid themselves to bump up the price of their products. I once kept an eye on it and the bidding, lets just say it was well suspect. I never bother to look again.

Never bothered with the site as you dont seem to get anything at a decent price as people tend to pay near the price it would be normally so I prefer to buy them in the shop

One to avoid from our experience.

We used to keep a close eye on these auctions when they came out a couple of years ago - why would anyone want a 32" Tv OUT of the box; tried and tested and returned with a small dent, for nearly the same cost of a new/unused item?

We used to think that Comet had someone bidding for them. CAnt prove it of course:)

I agree. There is definitely suspicious bidding occuring on that site.
The word Comet and bargain aren't usually used in the same sentence unless 'not' is included!!

And have you noticed the same tv/items re-appeared again and again when it was supposed to be won already. Comet definitely bid on all their products, people are not stupid :)

I bought a tumble dryer from this site a long time ago and it arrived with far more damage than was described and with the plug hacked off it (not even a clean cut) which I believe is now illegal for electrical products. Needless to say I got all my money back including delivery charges and I have never used this site nor recommended it to anyone since.
