Boiler repairs and powerflush

Except, of course, that this has got nothing whatsoever to do with BG

I'm a bg engineer just spent the last hour talking a customer out of a powerflush because it wasn't what they needed.
Fair point, the OP mentioned BG in the thread and I misread it-they did not specify who their boiler cover is with.
However, many posts on this board relate to BG recommending powerflushes for almost every conceivable boiler problem-glad to hear that you are the exception. No free lunch, and no free laptop

My hot water is failing to heat up from combo boiler. I have home emergency cover who have advised I require a heat exchanger, diverter valve and a powerflush. However they do not cover this.
My supplier is British gas and I was thinking of approaching them. Can anyone advise on roughly how much this will all cost?
Thank you
Hi,
I was just wondering if you got a quote for a power flush? My plumber told me my heatinf system need one but he doesnt do them.
ThanksI love MSE freebies and comps. Thanks posters0
