    Lamona is made by Beko

Ive heard Lamona being made by all sorts of people. People seem to know the Beko name better plus ive had good experience from their aftercare so they may be worth a shot!
  • We went to Howdens to buy kitchen last Saturday (2nd October). We had a 65% trade discount, and then they added an extra 10% discount to everything "because it's October". Total discount 75%. October sale definitely exists.

I'm on the verge of ordering a 9 unit Greenwich dark walnut Howdens kitchen. Either blackstone or jamocha worktop (any recommendations, folks?). Pretty basic for a small kitchen, no appliances and including standard tap and single sink. Comes out at £821 with 70- 80% discount. Is that ok or should I bargain for a further reduction? Do they throw in freebies, upgrade to soft closers etc?
    Thanks

You really think I could knock £1000 off? Ill head down to Howdens with my quote tomorrow and see if they'll let me haggle with them! Im not at all keen on Lamona, I can get a Beko oven and ceramic hob from ebay for £260 and I find Beko to be pretty good!

Thankyou for all your help :T

Get a hold of the estimate and start doing the negoitating yourself.

£1600 is too much for a Saponetta. It's not an expensive range at all and if it's a small kitchen then it just far too much. And don't buy the Lamona appliances - hard to get parts for and you will find something you like for less money. If it's cheap and cheerful you are after then I like the packs that B&Q do for £349 for an oven and hob - brands like Hotpoint, Whirlpool etc. go and buy them on one of the 20% off weekends and you'll struggle to fine anything decent for less.
hi lamona is beko and i get oven hod and extractor for £300 from howdens what u have to remember is that howdens is trade only and builders put there cut on as well

I went to homebase yesterday to get hold of a quote to take to Howdens to try to knock the price down further. Homebase quoted half price sale on units plus an extra 20% off.......my kitchen came in at £3000 without the oven! Hmmmm, not going to help me much!

I went to Howdens and gave the assistant my quote and he's promised to call back with a new price. Im tempted just to stick with the Lamona tbh as i'll be selling the flat and im not sure that the oven brand would have a huge bearing on things.

It'll be interesting to see if the price my carpenter quoted me for the Howdens kitchen included a cut for himself :rotfl:
  • Hi
Am new to this forum & to buying kitchens!
Want the Howdens Burford kitchen & have a kitchen 3.5 x 3.9metres. We have asked for a quote for a U-shape with a breakfast bar, all draw-line units, integrated frisge & freezer, belfast sink & a wine rack.
Does anyone have a clue what sort of price I shoudl be expecting??
We have a reasonable budget but also need other work doing, & do not wanna be ripped off by so called sales.
First thing guy asked us was ho much monety we had to spend, which totally put our backs up but anywya, really liek kitchen so just don't want to pay more than we should be!
    Thanks!!
