Web design help.....file too large

I have a small web site for our local group. Our AGM was on Monday and I have included the Chairmans Report .
However.....I wish to include a Powerpoint presentation which was shown on the night.. Unfortunately the file is large...99 MB....I have only 100mb in total for the site.
Is there a way of uploading this file to somewhere on the internet whereby just by simply clicking on a link on the website will automatically take them to the file concerned.
The slide show was a hit so I would like others to enjoy it
I did only very basic course on web design so am learning all the time
Thank you in advance

use a site like megaupload.com
search google for free file hosting or free file storage etc . there are loads of them0 -
Clare, that size is probably down to included images/videos/sounds.. most likely pictures though.
Open the powerpoint and save each image out (copy, paste into another application). Then use the other application to resize them and copy/paste it back in.
Hopefully you can reduce the size a lot. Otherwise, zip the file up0 -
Thank you for your quick reply!
I did search some of the sites suggested and some will only host the file for 14 days or a month.......if file isnt downloaded the file is automatically removed.
Which is the best one to choose?Every penny is a prisoner.......0 -
Hello Ringo........you are star....smiles.
yes......the pics are all saved in format size 640x 480 and I do have a few "videos" from camera ....short ones included in the slideshow.
I will try and reduce them to web size..... but I feel that its still going to be too large to upload on to my website.
But if a free file storage site is needed I would if possible prefer a recommended site.Every penny is a prisoner.......0 -

How long would it take ?
At 8 Mbps broadband it would be at least an hour (depending on host)
For anybody not a stone throw from the exchange it'll take hours..
No, not that long given it's a good connection. On a 2Mbps connection you'll get it in 20 minutes. If you get anything near 8Mbps you'll have it in 10 minutes or under. I only say this as I just downloaded a 5mb file on my 2mb connection in 30 seconds."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
8mbps - 99mb? an hour?
I downloaded 148mb file last night in about 15 - 20 minutes on a 2.5mb line.0 -
So gentlemen....
All things considered......what is your recommendation or solution to my problem?Every penny is a prisoner.......0
