Car Insurance Question :)

If I pay up front for the whole 12 months, what happens if my circumstances then change?

I am currently a provisional driver and have been quoted £560 PA.

Hopefully, I'll pass my test before those 12 months are up, so if I pay the full 560 and then pass my test, will they take the remaining off my first year or how does that work :S

Suggest you get a quote now to see how much it would be with a full licence. The premium will go up massively once you pass your test.

Many people opt for the pay as you go learner Insurance e.g. Collingwood Learners and then once they pass their test, they then arrange an annual policy elsewhere.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

In today's current climate that seems extremely cheap - are you an older driver just learning and what are the circumstanes e.g. are you an additional driver on another policy?

If you are a young driver then there might be something wrong with the quote system and you should really ensure that everything is checked out up front to save nasty surprises later on.

A few more details might help people assist you.

I find it difficult to believe that Diamond will only charge an extra £20 once you pass your test.

You might want to give them a call to check. You don't want any last minute surprises.

To be honest im finding it hard to believe any of the figures being quoted here !

£580 for first time insurance for a 23 year old ?

Im 36 , held my licence 10 years , and yet i couldnt even get such a low quote with zero no claims discount.......
