Mines off eBay. Not had to use it yet. Didn't realise I'd need a few or I wouldn't have splashed out on a £5 heart one! Mine's been pierced for over 12 years and would heal up...it only takes a couple of days and I have to re-do it. eek!

I'm 36 weeks and only used the one till last week when I broke it catching it on my trouser tie (at least I think that's what I did - the ball came off the end) got a second one in - brought a pack of three off ebay at about 20 weeks

My midwife told me to see what happened and I never took mine out in the end. Replaced it with the bigger ring it was pierced with near the end but never bought anything special.

I see you've bought one now but in case this helps anyone else xxx

I got mine belly button done after i'd had my first. When I had my second, I left the normal metal bar in until I was in labour in hospital. Nobody had ever mentioned it at ante-natal checks and it wasn't uncomfortable.
When I had my third, it got a little uncomfortable towards the end so I got some of the plastic ones from ebay. It stayed in for the birth.

A lot of people get an 'outie' during pregnancy, so I suppose that would be difficult, but mine stayed as an 'inny'.

I will see how i get on with my plastic one. if it gets too small i can always get some more of the plastic at longer length. i have only spent £1.49 so far so no great expense and it is about time i got a new one anyway.

    thanks
