Should I be worried?

I don't think it would matter if it was just five minutes. If she's feeling pushed out, then physically removing her will just reinforce her feelings and increase her anger and resentment.0

Perhaps putting it in terms of 'don't kill the bumble bee, it might have children at home that will starve' might appeal to her better nature.
I would definitely never leave her alone with the dog (or any animal), as someone much wiser than me once said on another forum 'when you leave children and dogs alone children get bitten and dogs get put down' and it's true, the poor dog will end up dying when one day she goes too far and it bites her.
I'm glad you're trying to do something about it, it makes my blood boil when I see parents allowing their children to try to kick the pigeons in the parkMake £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

I was wondering if over the summer she has seen adults trying to get rid of wasps around picnic food and kill them (like we do) and that has legitimised it in her head?0

Confession: when I was your daughter's age I used to kill ladybirds a lot. I used to put them in mud pies, drown them and squash them between my fingers
. I used to enjoy the feeling of power I had over them.
My mum used to tell me off but in the end it was something I grew out of. It's funny too because I am a real nature-lover and I'm known for always rescuing insects (worms in the road, bumble bees that have been hit by cars, snails on the footpath etc) and I would never DREAM of hurting or killing a creature again. It makes me feel sick to know I did it as a child.
So, it doesn't necessarily mean she's got psychotic tendancies, she could well just be a child who feels powerless. We are born wet, naked, and hungry. Then things get worse.
