Today I received this message:
Unfortunately, your online upgrade request has failed due to a technical error with the package you have chosen.
Please re-order either online or by dialling 08080 406 406.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused.
I started a new 2 year contract at the end of August on the proviso of upgrading my phone to the Samsung Galaxy S.
Now it seems that due to an error on Vodafones part I cannot upgrade as I'm nowhere near my upgrade date on the new contract..
I want Vodafone to carry out their part of the deal and reinstate my upgrade to the new phone.
It is now 6 weeks since I thought I was carrying out a simple upgrade with a company that I liked.
I'm very disappointed with Vodafone and expected better from them.
All I want is for them to carry out the upgrade and let me know the order number as soon as possible.
Why is this such a hard thing to do????

who told you that you could upgrade 2 months into a 2 year contract?0

You misunderstand custardy.
I had already come to the end of my current contract and wanted to upgrade to a better phone but to do so I had to enter into a new contract to get the phone for free. This was all agreed by the vodafone rep but the phone never arrived but the contract started. which means now that i have the same phone but a new contract which means i can't upgrade until the twelth of never.0 -

Have you called them to see what the problem is before you start blaming them?
It could be problems getting the phone and they want to offer something else.0 -

The upgrade team tell you what you want to hear not what is going on? I was conned into a 2 year contract instead of a 1 yr, with the payment going up afer 18 months all of which I knew nothing about untill it was too late, then when trying on line to make it right i am told yes we can reduce the monthly amount back to £25, only to find I have been lied to yet again....
I have been with Vodafone for over 15 years but it all means nothing when it comes to stitching you up!!0 -
Commision is the only thing that is one thier minds.... Can't wait to end all 3 of my accounts in december 2010
customer service is just not there anymore......0 -
Not getting what you were promised is pretty common from Vodafone unfortunately. Are you sure the phone isn't on the way though, they usually wouldn't stitch you up that much.0
