Advice please. My charger is broken

I would be grateful for help with this problem.
I have a Sony Ericsson T68 with PAYG. The charger broke yesterday. However I have quite a lot of money left on the phone and the battery is dead. I am changing the phone in any case so will not be using it after I use the balance left.
Can anyone advise please?
Margaret

  • If you live near a poundland shop you can buy a multi charger which fits most phones not sure if is for car use only though hope this helps

Thanks Blondie but unfortunately we live on a Scottish island and we have very few shops
    not even a computer shop.
However, thanks for your reply. :)
  • If you are getting a new phone, won't you be able to use your PAYG SIM in it to use up your credit (the new one may need unlocking first!)

    Thanks for your reply.
You probably know more about it than I do. I am puzzled. I want to use my old number on my new mobile so I got a code to do this but I was told by vodaphone that I can't transfer any money over and I must use it before going to a new provider. However, I can't use it as there is no charge left in the battery!
    HELP!

  • As an alternative you may be able to buy a car charger fairly cheaply over the net (a replacement charger shouldn't be too expensive over the net either)

(Or do you know someone with the same make of phone who will let you use their charger?)

Regarding the number porting - you could still get your new phone, unlock it, use up the credit then get a PAC to port your number to your new provider.

Thank you so much. I have ordered a car charger over the 'net.
I didn't know what to do about your 2nd suggestion. I'm afraid I'm technically challenged! :p
    Many thanks for your help.
