Confused about Tesco Credit Card and points

Not sure if to start a new thread - but will post here first. I am having an issue with Tesco credit card regarding an exchange rate they used for EURO (purchases in Spain) in August and September.
I wonder if anyone here used their Tesco card abroad recently. If yes would you be able to let me know a few examples of what rate you were given.
I could use the following (as an example)
15-08-10 Purchase EUR 58.99 Exch Rate 1.152254 GBP 51.19
I am trying to see if it's "just me" or if Tesco use an inferior rate of exchange compared to other cards
Thank you0 -
1) can someone explain why the first poster says he will get "40" points for a £20 spend on hes clubcard. I understand the 5 points for a £20 spend as its 1 point for every £5 spent. but why is the £20 spend doubled to 40 points??
2) also how do i find out what "clubcard" my credit card is linked to?
3) I have a clubcard PLUS+. could i pay with my credit card but use this for the points (because this DOES get double points)???
thanks for any answers0 -

That was for shopping in Tesco, £20 spend 40 points credited to his clubcard0 -
sorry, is it presuming its double points instore?? I thought £20 was 20 points?0

Tesco have been giving 2 points per £1 spent since summer 2009, so a £20 spend would earn 40 points.0

1) As has been said, double points in store + 5 'finance' points i.e. 1 point for every four pounds spent (per transaction). But NB some cards get 1 pt per £2.00.
2) Two ways - ask Clubcard, or do a 'shop' in Tesco pay with Credit Card, go back in for something else that you 'forgot' and pay cash using just your clubcard - if the no of points on the receipt match, your clubcard is linked to your Credit card, if different they're not!
3) Use your clubcard plus in-store, it gives you triple points i.e. the double points + another 'plus' point, use the credit card for outside Tesco.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0
