my bday is on 18th december and as long as i can remember hardly anybody ever comes out because of xmas parties and having no money due to xmas

so this year as it's my 25th, i decided to make it memorable and me and my boyfriend are going to prague for 3 days
Not exactly money saving but have never done anthing special for any bdays and it means we wont bother with xmas presents either. i cant wait :j :j0 -
My birthday is Monday and it's the local clubs student night (£1 a drink) so most people can afford to come out which I'm chuffed about

I've not bothered with alot of birthdays in past years though, everyone is always saving for Christmas!
I only buy for a few friends birthdays and they are all August to Feb! So just save a little each month, often buy things early and keep them back too, if I see something they'd really love.No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
I love everything about winter. How about a walk in the woods (or park if no woods available), as someone suggested, scrunching through some autumn leaves (great for jumping in), come back and have hot chocolate with marshmallow melting on top, watch a really good DVD under a blanket on a comfy sofa. Sounds good to me I must do that soon! Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Depends whether or not this is your kind of thing...
My friend had her 30th birthday in a nightclub in Cardiff (one of the chain ones, can't remember the name). Anyway, providing she guaranteed there would be more than 30 people there, they gave her the function room free of charge and also laid on a small buffet. Guess they make their money back through drinks - and as it's your birthday you won't need to buy any for yourself!0
