Wow - Connells really overpriced you didn't they? £205,950 down to £189,950 in the space of a few months.

The house looks nice. I guess that since it's only a year old there isn't much that could go wrong with it though. Just one question. Is it a semi or a terraced? The photo is of a terraced house, but the RightMove description is of a semi?

Also, I don't like the addition of "Fixed price" for the selling details. You wouldn't get the asking price in this environment.
  • Not sure whether its terraced or a semi - assumed terraced as it is in a row of four. Mababe, I can't consider that house to be comparable. Our house is fully carpeted, we also paid the developers to extend the kitchen, and had italian tiles throughout the wet areas. :-(

There's many an EA who optimistically describes an end-terrace as semi-detached.

Why cant the end of the terrace be described as a semi detatched, it is, after all, only attached on one side. Not really relevant, I've just always wondered this!!!

Just to even things up a little, we are on with Connells- They have been excellent the entire way through, loads of viewings, no fixed price (originally 1.5%, now at 1% - long story). Made clear about the HIP process (pay £99 up front and if you want to leave its more - £200ish I think) and even crossed out the cancellation fee on our contract.
  • Basically it's all down to price.

Remember, Walsall is a really cheap area and you can get a whole house for a similar price (one which isn't split over 3 floors and which has a bigger garden!).

The interior looks immaculate but basically it's a house that's more comparable to a flat than a family home. It's sort of neither a house nor a flat.

Regardless of what you paid for it, I think you're just asking too much for it. And you would do well to ditch the garden photo. Your description is misleading too - it talks about "cul de sac" location and "semi-detached" and "driveway leading to garage".... whilst technically true perhaps, it conjures up images of space and seclusion/privacy, which this home does not appear to have.

I would think more about the sort of person who would buy that home - young professional family perhaps - and market it in a way that appeals directly to them (low maintenance, good condition, etc).
