We visit Lincoln on a regular basis, and have been in that Odeon several times. Its a dump.High ticket prices,no leg room and dirty.Fairly new too..Probably better when it was in that industrial unit.
Conversly ,our friends come down to us and are spoilt rotten in our two city centre cinemas.

While I agree with the lack of leg room - we sit at the back at the top of the aisle or above the stairs...more leg room :) 6ft son manages quite well so can't be that bad...Hull Odeon much worse for leg room.

I must disagree with you saying it is dirty - we have always found the cinema to be clean and given the high number of students who visit from the Uni and miss their mouths with popcorn I think the staff do quite well :p

As for high prices...the prices are the same as at pretty much every other Odeon, although compared to some other cinema chains they are high.

But at the end of the day it is our little cinema and much as we may love to see a new Vue or Cineworld built (hint hint) until that happens we make do with what we have - or travel to Hull and Sheffield! lol

Also the staff are lovely and recently donated heaps of resources and posters to my filmclub :D

Having taken part in what seems to be a tour of cinema's this summer I have to say my favourite of the year was Vue @ The Lowry (went to see Sorcerers Apprentice while visiting family...plenty of leg room for my 6ft son!) Loved the angles and spaced seats. Although for character it would have to be the gorgeous little cinema in London (I forget what it is called but near St James Park) looks like it used to be a theatre...loved it :)
Valuable life advice: never play chicken with a lion...the lion will ALWAYS win!

Tried it today, was re-directed to another link :(

Gutted. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the new members asking for the link last week, works for Sky. Nice one, whoever was giving the link out like candy :(
  • Just saw Unstoppable- very tense and edge of seat film, well worth the effort of going too

Have just watched Unstoppable at Vue, Sheffield. It was somewhat confusing as they showed reel 1, reel 3, reel 2 then reel 4. Its probably an excellent film, if shown in the correct order. Thought I had somehow nodded off during the film wthout realising.
  • Saw Unstoppable today, was quite a good film, not amazing, but worth watching :)

Disappointed to see the cinema was less than half full. I'm wondering whether this is purposely done by ShowFilmFirst, or whether many people book and don't bother to turn up.

Am hoping that Harry Potter ends up being offered up for free to see a bit early :D

That was Turniplord, he believed that because he hid the link in a bit ly link sky would have trouble identifying the original link. Wrong, they probably knew as fast as I did which was within 10 minutes of coming across it. This was about 2 months ago. I suspect their strategy was to figure out a secure way of changing the use of the link without actually changing the link itself, which is why they took so long to take action.
Being redirected means the link is still there, its just being used differently. If it wasn't there you would be having file not found messages instead. Trying to fix the link is well beyond Turnipmoron's capabilities.

Anyone who publishes these links openly is simply forcing their deletion or forcing heavier security levels. This also applies to the recently published times link, I expect interesting things to happen to that one soon.

    Agreed with moneyballs2.
Unstoppable was a great film, we're surprised it was only half full at the Manchester Printworks, not sure whether or not because both Manchester Lowry and Manchester Printworks was showing it at the same time. I have just noticed that Manchester Lowry will be showing again tomorrow night. Anyone who have missed tonight's viewing here is another chance for you.

That same thing happened to us when we saw Solaris, the russian version in the 70'. Nobody understood the film and days after the projectionist who was a friend of ours confessed his crime the rushes were written in russian so he could not work out which one was 1 or 2 or 3:rotfl: I shall remember this as a highlight of my university days!
Thanks to those who help us to win !
