NEITHER of which is really very helpful at all.

For posts like this I ALWAYS go to the site and look for myself.
Firstly I don't trust the post to be 100% reliable or accurate - it wouldn't be the first time locations have been missed :(
Secondly I don't trust myself that I might miss my own cinemas buried within the melee of the jumbled confusion of information overload :(

There is no need to REPEAT time and time again the TIME ( :) :rotfl: :) ) or date or cinema chain when they are ALL THE SAME ( or the labels for the same - Date & time, Location etc. )

It's both quicker & easier to just go to SFF or TellTen etc. and look for oneself, saving time searching for "the wood in the trees" and delay attempting to get any tickets that might be available.

The two examples you gave are the ones I have specific problems with. The latter containing the 'INFO' buttons can often masque a cinema and the jumble of the first makes trying to find a particular cinema very difficult because of the continual repetition of info as you mention.

Also trying to read the location list on a phone is horrendous when it is posted like that.

I know time is of the essence when people want to be the first to post or to make a contribution but time is also of the essence when trying to bag tickets too.

Just home from seeing Due Date and I must say that I really enjoyed it. I don't think it is better/funnier than The Hangover as the blurb says but thankfully it didn't fail as I worried it might do. Often when the promo states that a film is funnier than such a film or is called the Comedy of the Year etc, I find it falls flat.

I found Due Date to be laugh out loud funny in some places as did a lot of people watching. The poor little dog made the audience go "awww" at least once and he got a lot of sympathy during some of his ordeals. I even had a tear in my eye at one scene when Ethan Tremblay referenced his late father.

    I give it 8/10

I had a good laugh with one of the security guys for the Total Film Club and asked him that if he comes across anyone who sends out their Friday e-newsletter, could they please send it earlier than they did last Friday LOL

I think you must be confusing me with the posts of someone else ???

I'm VERY particular about the layout and clarity of any post I make - especially FREE CINEMA CODES - don't want them to be obscure such that other posters miss them and then we end up with DUPLICATES :( - ALWAYS make the CODE STAND OUT (or such that the search facility would NOT miss them :( )

    OR

that all the locations, time(s) & date(s) are not are present and correct - otherwise another "helpful" person has to add another post to "complete" the previous "inadequate" offering :) (you know what I mean)

If you can show me one of my posts that constantly repeats the same information over and over again (and/or was a "cut & paste job") I'd be most grateful :)

hmmm might not have been you, sowwie :)... who else uses blue text? there's defs a senior member who does it lol

Yes, the last thing you want with a HANGOVER, is DEJA VU !

  • that said member always does it. I've PMd a board guide to remove the post plus get rid of all the passed screenings. another 10 posts to be removed

    On a slightly seperate note...

It would be much better when people posted on the codes board, if they kept the amount of text in the posts to a minimum

having 2/3 lines between each cinema fill the pages then really it could be a quarter of the size.

    All we need really is:

    Movie
    Date & Time
    Company
    Code
    Direct Link
    Cinema listing

all with as little spaces between them as possible..... please?!

Just don't be too upset with posters who are less anally retentive - lol.

  • haha fair enough, gotta love the edit where you have to be super quick, my mistakes always get spotted lol

The only reason your mistakes get spotted so readily is because you're too quick to condemn everyone else's.
