Oh great. Like you I went thinking there would be far more laugh out loud moments but reading what Tibbs said about it being a darker humour made a great deal of sense to me.

Did you realise before seeing the credits, which part Bill Bailey played? I didn't recognise him at all.

I knew he was in it (having seen an interview on Something for the Weekend), but forgot, and even seeing him didn't remind me because I didn't recognise him at all - in fact, I'd forgotten until I saw it mentioned on here :o

I share your enthusiasm about Edinburgh. Think lots more tourism will occur as a result of the film. Not that they don't already get an understandable share of the tourism revenue. Even David Tennant's TV programme (Single Father) featured it highly. I can see the same less expensive view of the Castle (as the character 'Dave' the single father had in a posh meeting place in last week's episode) when I have coffee in Edinburgh's Debenhams store (note the money-saving principles here - lol). It's such a spectacular view. Interestingly enough I read that David Tennant was originally meant to be 'Hare' in Burke and Hare, but had to pull out last minute.

Although I love Aberdeen and moan about the infrastructure (among other things), there's an interesting article about improving the corridor of Aberdeen I live on, and perhaps we'll see some improvement here (hopefully Trump will bring improvements with him - they're well needed). Pity they couldn't build a castle in the main street - now wouldn't that be a novel idea - ahem.

True, I noticed they were in (I think) they were in Pompadour in Single Father (the Caledonian Hotel's restaurant - am I right?). I've had the view from Debenhams - much cheaper. I wish we were closer to Edinburgh, it's just too far for a day out, or even one night away so it means making a weekend of it which can get expensive.

I've never been to Aberdeen, must try harder to get further up.

Wahay! It wasn't just me. Thank you. He played a good part whoever he was :rotfl:

You were one up on me though, it came as a complete surprise to see his name in the end credits. I hadn't known in the first place but iif it's any consolation, if I had known, I probably would have forgtten too.;)

    Hello again.

This isn't a dig, it's a genuine question which has always puzzled me. WHy is i that when someone posts a code, without locations on, someone else will then post a list of locations for that code? Isn't that as irritating (and expensive for those who pay to log on) as duplicates? Surely if youve logged on for the first post (just the code) you'll have rushed to check the locations yourself already and paid, on;y to get another notification which gives you the locations which you've already rushed to check?

Yep, I tend to agree, it is useful to have the locations but not sure an extra post is really needed. But you know what people on here seem to make up there own minds about whats helpful & needed or not!!:rotfl:
