I'm lucky enough to get the Total Film magazine. I saw the picture of her in that - the hooded image. Looked somewhat spooky.

And the poor love really did walk around in all that snow in her bare feet.:eek: Cruelty, sheer evil cruelty.

I can't believe that Picturehouse at FACT in Liverpool are showing two previews on Sunday but both at 11 am.

Let Me In and My Afternoons with Margueritte. IMDb has very little on its site about the latter film but this is far more informative and has a trailer too.

I enjoyed Burke and Hare. It wasn't as laugh out loud as I expected, but that didn;t make me enjoy it any less. It was certainly helped by the fact that Edinburgh is my favourite place in the world. I loved spotting the little cameos, and Ronnie Corbett was great.

I share your enthusiasm about Edinburgh. Think lots more tourism will occur as a result of the film. Not that they don't already get an understandable share of the tourism revenue. Even David Tennant's TV programme (Single Father) featured it highly. I can see the same less expensive view of the Castle (as the character 'Dave' the single father had in a posh meeting place in last week's episode) when I have coffee in Edinburgh's Debenhams store (note the money-saving principles here - lol). It's such a spectacular view. Interestingly enough I read that David Tennant was originally meant to be 'Hare' in Burke and Hare, but had to pull out last minute.

Although I love Aberdeen and moan about the infrastructure (among other things), there's an interesting article about improving the corridor of Aberdeen I live on, and perhaps we'll see some improvement here (hopefully Trump will bring improvements with him - they're well needed). Pity they couldn't build a castle in the main street - now wouldn't that be a novel idea - ahem.

Oh great. Like you I went thinking there would be far more laugh out loud moments but reading what Tibbs said about it being a darker humour made a great deal of sense to me.

Did you realise before seeing the credits, which part Bill Bailey played? I didn't recognise him at all.

That's just my own view on the subject matter. Not to say that I'm 100% correct.

Bill Bailey was a narrator character that bookended the story - a bit like a prologue and an epilogue.

Aaarrggghhh you've ruined it for others who haven't yet seen it. I only realised from the credits but I was asking nicky not you, ya dingbat! :rotfl: You've been playing with gb too much today, he's rubbed off on you . . . . so to speak:p

Pooch, to say that Bill Bailey is there at the beginning and end gives nothing away for the story. He bookends the story - introduces it and ties it up. No more, no less. Your post perplexes me as to why this possibly ruins anything for others. The story lies within these bookends.

I can assure you that I would never post something that would ruin someone else's enjoyment of a film.

I meant that I didn't recognise him and only realised from the end credits that he was who he was in the film. He fooled me, which isn't difficult. I wanted to know if anyone else was fooled too.

I know you wouldn't really go out of your way to spoil a film for anyone. I was only jesting ;)

That's really good to know because I have a rule of never discussing storylines - even in person - unless someone's seen the film and is ready to discuss.

Look at the time. I'll blame that. My nose has been in books and my thoughts are drifting to a place where there are less books - lol.

I totally agree marvelsc7, they were wonderful together weren't they? Considering the subject matter, it wasn't difficult to really feel for them and their individual plights.

Tibbs, you woudn't think it was the same girl. When we first see her chatting to the boy, I wasn't even sure if it was a male or a female. However, I've since found out that originally the vampire wasn't meant to be male or female, the vital sex organs were missing. She isn't supposed to be a biological female. So I would guess that this particular scene is deliberate.

Chloe Moretz isn't a star in the making, she's a true star now. Fabulous actress, so accomplished, so versatile, a certain Oscar winner in the not so distant future I hope.

Have I seen The Road! I must rummage amongst my few remaining brain cells and my phone calendar to find out the answer to that question.:(

I watched Miss Moretz, in the Amityville Horror 2005, last night with Ryan Reynolds.

    She is just fab! :T

It was halfway through when I got home and turned t.v. on. Hadn't realised she was in it. Never mind, you can't watch everything.
