I have managed to get tickets for Journey 2 - fingers crossed it is better than the 2008 one with Brendan Fraser in it....or else I very well may do my first ever walk out.0

Each to their own, I loved Journey to the Centre of the Earth!:)

I'm a big fan of Brendan Fraser - which was why the first JTTCOTE was so very disappointing.
That film, plus his 3rd Mummy film..... dreadful.
I see he has 4 other films in various stages of production - so fingers crossed the material and end product is a bit better.
It is one thing to see a dodgy film, but when you see an Actor/Actress you really admire hamming it up..... it can be more than "cringe-worthy"0 -
Hangs head in shame as the only person on board that enjoyed it and has watched it more than once:o"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

No need to hang your head in shame, if everyone liked the same films, this forum would be boring0

I thought Margin Call was excellent (and would love to watch it again - soon) yet everyone else on here thought it boring, so no need to hang head in shame, each to their own.
My guilty secrets - love to watch Home Alone (original), Pretty Woman, and Pride and Prejudice (Firth and Ehle) even though I have already seen them about a thousand times before...
and of course The Mummy (Fraser and Weisz 1999)
also Blade and Blade Trinity.....list is endless;)
Cannot wait to become a Grand 'Old Bag' - then I have a valid excuse to watch all the old Tom and Jerry cartoons, Pooh, Wind in the Willows etc..... but couldn't sit through Dawn Treader again if you paid me:cool:0 -
Oh my!

Went to the Sky Preview of Carnage last night and I almost wish I hadn't!
Went on far too long and although occasionally funny I found it hard to stay awake!"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

I thought the start was excellent.....so very realistic how 'young' people are - speech, mannerisms etc.
But by the end I was really struggling to either stay awake, or to care about how their love story ended.
The one bit I really didn't find believable was the complete lack of recrimination or regret or comment about their original stupidity which led to their problems...either by the young people, or by her parents etc.0
