I liked Easy A - Wouldn't it be great to have Stanley Tucci and Patricia Clarkson as your parents?

Really not sure why it was a 15 certificate. Sure, there was a lot of sex talk but none of it was graphic, no bad language (even that whole dubbed 'Twot' bit contradicted itself). I've definitely seen worse in a 12A.

Oh, and did anyone else get a free Let Me In T-shirt on Monday night? That's the second time I've got something from the Total Film screenings (after the Scott Pilgrim Beanie) - Yay!

Sadly no free t-shirts in Liverpool. Whereabout in the country are you?

Do you think I could do that with my teenager...or is it beyond the terms of contract?

Of course you can but you can only do it the once. Maybe "the devil you know" rule might come into play? lol

I was at the Bristol screening for LMI. The same Cineworld that gave me the hat although I think it's the TotalFilm thing rather than the cinema that are the generous ones here.

Well, Future publishing are a (mainly) Bath based company so they are nearby. May be they can't be arsed to go any further than Bristol.

I've got a feeling that between the fighty post-teens and bitey pre-teens previews there was another TotalFilm screening (sans freebie), but I can't remember what it was.

I enjjoyed Easy A very much, Emma Stone is a very talented young actress. It wasn't as funny as it might have been but still very amusing. I must admit that I found it very strange that she not only went along with some of the lies but actually volunteered to lie in one instance. What was she expecting when 'admitting' to these acts?? That was the one issue I had with the film, it made it a little difficult for me to be sympathetic towards her character at times.

I would agree with this. Really, practically every character in it weren't very nice, including the main one. Especially at the end, with the video broadcast to everyone. This was supposed to be her redeeming herself and making everything okay again, but it would have seriously ruined people's lives. Once she has decided to lie for people and taken payment to do so, how nasty is it to then turn around and tell everyone? Can you imagine how much the fat kid would have been beaten up for paying a girl to let him pretend he felt her breasts? His life would be a misery. And the teacher would be in far more trouble for letting a student take the rap for her affair. I know the teacher shouldn't have done it, but once the main girl agreed (and offered) to pretend it was her, she really should have faced the consequences. I agree it was very difficult to feel sympathy for her character.

    just my tuppence worth.

I think your "tuppence worth" contained some very valid points. In fact I think it was a very odd subject matter for a film. Although if it had been a different actress playing the main part I probably wouldn't have enjoyed the film as much as I did. I loved the actors playing her parents too. :T
