Guarantee you get tickets from Showfilmfirst by becoming a founder member
I thought I'd 'invest' £12.50 on a year's membership, to see whether it was worthwhile.

    Two things surprised me.

First, payment was by PayPal only. If you didn't have a PayPal account and wanted to pay by credit card, you needed to open a PayPal account.

Second, I wanted to be just for a year. Completing the purchase, I see I have been signed up for a continuous transaction, i.e. I will pay the same amount this time next year unless I cancel.

Nowhere in the process did I see it spelt out that the only method of subscribing meant continuous transactions. I think this is sharp practice.

Apparently it takes two weeks for VIP status to show online. have receievd no invitations yet.

mmmm, Rodger, that doesnt sound too good! Yep, ripped off at all stages - I HATE Paypal. IN addition, after having previous problems with a continuous transactio refusing to accept a cancellation , I dont want to go down that route again. Poor show SFF!. However, hope it works out and all the extra emails you get will make it worth while!

This is my first posting here. Excuse me if not in correct place, etc. I have just brought up the Show Film First home page. Having clicked the log-on tab and waiting a few seconds a trojan warning came up, flashing alarmingly. I got out of it and ran a virus check. All appears to be ok on my computer. Has anyone experienced a similar issue? It does appear that logging in is not possible right now as a result, however. Spooked me a bit. Be careful.

Are you saying that the showfilmfirst site has a problem and is infected hence downloading a trojan to people who use the site?

Or that zzwhzz has a problem with his computer?

Oh wow! It does seem like there's a problem with showfilmfirst

I got a redirect to tournamentprotectwinscan where it started a mock system scan in the browser. I didn't let it complete so I don't think there was any damage done but I'll make sure my virus guard is up-to-date and scan the laptop just in case!
