Hey, I go by myself all the time. I quite loke it as I have an excuse to peer at everyone!
I used to love going to the flicks on my own, when I was a single girl. No-one to nick your popcorn, take over half the arm rest and keep whispering to you if they don't understand the film!******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -
Has anybody been to the Jameson free screenings before?
They told me I missed out on a ticket for Monsters in London March 3 - do they make cancellations available? (I did email them but no reply).0 -

I'm not single, but OH doesn't like the cinema much. He hated the free viewing of The Social Network where it was so packed that people were turned away and there were shouts of "scandal" from those who had travelled miles for the freebie!
So I go alone!0 -
Just back from Chalet Girl in Rochdale (via the gym :T). Screen was about three quarters full and the film was great - really enjoyed it and glad I made the effort to get up instead of having a much needed lie in.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

Glad you enjoyed it. I'm going tomorrow and really wasn't sure about it - thought it might be full of 12-15 yr old girls....Were there plenty of adults there too, when you went?
I'm sure I'm not exactly their target demographic but the fact that it has Bill Nighy and Bill Bailey in it made me think it may be ok. As you can tell, I'm not expecting too much but thought it could be a bit of harmless fun for a Sunday morning so I'm still looking forward to it0 -

It was all adults except for a little girl of about 6 who must have been bored out of her head! It's not belly laugh comedy, more chuckle along comedy, and you can see what's going to happen a mile off, but I thought the acting and the script were very good, and I did chuckle all the way through. Make sure you watch the end credits too.
We're going over the pennines to see No Strings at Leeds tomorrow - hope that's worth forgoing a lie-in too
Enjoy Chalet Girl******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -

Thank you Nicky! I just thought my OH would really not be impressed if he was the only bloke in a cinema full of teenage girls but, if your screening is anything to go by, it shouldn't be bad at all. We're travelling quite a way to see it but will make a day of it so I'm sure it'll be worth it. If it's any consolation we'll be getting up early too!
Hope you enjoy No Strings Attached0 -
does anyone know if the screening tomorrow for no strings attached needs abything with the printout as marked with heat magazine0
