When I try this it says see Got to dance, a 3D kids show, Justin Beiber, Something about champagne and the free screenings bit which takes me nowhere. It's not just about the money0

A short cut to the booking page for non-movie subscribers.
The Justin Beiber offer is available and that takes you to the same booking site. You just won't be able to book tickets for any movies except that one. Those of us with a movie account see JB and chalet girl and no.4 even if we access from the JB page.0 -
No one seems to have mentioned what they thought of Animal Kingdom last night - all free tickets went and my cinema in Cardiff was almost full. Any thoughts? Rotten Tomatoes gives it 97% from 115 critic reviews. I thought it was unbelievably powerful and the actors who played the grandmother and grandson deserve Oscars.0

Did enjoy Animal Kingdom, last night.
I noticed Marvelsc7 replied earlier. I was keeping an eye out for opinions because I'm going to see it soon. Looking forward to it. Not really came across anything negative about Animal Kingdom, unlike the mixed reviews for Never Let Me Go.

nickyhutch wrote: »It wont, though - they release more tickets because if, say, they have a screen with 300 seats, and they only release 300 tickets, only 200 turn up. If they release 400, there's more chance of the screening being as near to full as possible, which is what they want.
I went to a free preview screening of BABEL - starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett - hardly unknowns and actually movie stars that you think would be quite a box office draw.
Tickets in fact DID go very quickly, such that after I'd got mine my brother was unable to get any for himself and his wife.
Further codes were issued, more tickets released and they also got snapped up very quickly. My brother never obtained any and, as I found out later, neither did my niece who was also trying for the same screening.
On the night in question I was somewhat delayed and was concerned that I might be struggling to find a seat at the back of the auditorium, have to sit right near the front or possibly not get in at all. (The latter option something I had witnessed twice before but never experienced myself)
I rushed to get there, probably broke the speed limit by a few mph on a couple of occasions, parked in the 1st slot I found and ran all the way to the "ticket collector"
I thrust my piece of paper in his hands, he said "Screen 6" (or some other number) I ran to that screen and entered.
Despite being 5 minutes "early" for the start time, the lights were already dimmed and the screen was already alive with images.
As it turned out they were showing trailers for some upcoming movies.
Whilst I stood for a few moments, my eyes adjusting to the darkness, the trailers came to and end and the house lights turned on.
THE ENTIRE AUDITORIUM WAS EMPTY.
I was just thinking I must have misheard the usher and was in the wrong screen when the doors behind me opened and 2 girls came in. I asked them if they had come for the free Babel film, they confirmed they had and that this was the screen they had been sent to.
We took 3 seats right in the centre of a row and about three quarters of the way back.
I did a quick count and calculated that the cinema had in excess of 400 seats in it (424 if I remember correctly).
About 2 minutes later the lights dimmed and BABEL appeared on the screen.
Nobody else turned up - no latecomers - no one !
THREE of us in a 400+ seat cinema.
AND, as it turned out, NEITHER of the 2 girls were the "owner" of the tickets that got them in.
The older sister of one of them had obtained the tickets for herself but for some reason couldn't make it and had passed it on to her younger sister - who had only made a last minute decision to see the movie when she mentioned it to her friend, who showed an interest in the film because BRAD was in it .....
OTHERWISE I'd have been there on my own :rotfl:
