  • Yep, defs take some along if you have got some, if not some cinemas charge £1 for them. If you do have to pay for some, make sure you keep them for next time.

I'm sure Odeon give them out for free... but I haven't been to a 3D showing there for a while, so this might have changed

Thanks just checked out the website for my local Odeon and they said they charge £1 but hey £4 to see a new release is still fantastic value and we can keep the glasses for next time

The price quoted on the website will be for normal viewings. I've gotten all my glasses free at free-view screenings :)

Go with the mind set you have to pay, and if you get em free, then it's an extra bonus :)

You could always ask some mates see if anyone has any spare

For info. Vue cinemas charge extra for 3D films. We went on Orange Wednesday and had to pay an extra £4 or so on top of the normal ticket price for 2 of us for the 3D experience/glasses even though we brought our own glasses (for more details see this thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1862149). I don't know if this charge applies to glasses for free screenings or if it's included. Maybe someone can feedback? I don't think we'll be testing it out! We won't be going to the Vue cinema for 3D films in the future.

We've seen 3D films at Cineworld and weren't charged extra for glasses as we already had them. We've also re-used the glasses at our local Picturehouse cinema.

I've not been charged for glasses before in Sheffield at either Cineworld or Odeon but not been to Sheffield Vue to see a 3D film..glasses were also free at the Trafford Centre. I think alot of the charges are down to each individual cinema but for me if you are attending a free preview screening to give your feedback on a film you should be given the equipment needed to view it.

    All preview screenings are free.

Some cinemas will charge for glasses at around £1 if you dont have any, but these are to be kept and brought the next time you need them

And I agree with the above, all equipment should be provided... they'll be asking us to bring out own seats next :rolf:

Thanks for moving your post to the correct place :)

I'm not a sky customer so can't help unfortunately.

All I can advise is keep checking the sky screen.

Guessing you're a sky movies customer too? As this screening is only for SM subscribers

Re the 3D Glasses thing - it said on the ticket booking screen that they would be provided free.

Unfortunately it just doesn't say it on the print out or confirmation email.
