    Exclusive Advance Preview

Insider members bring up to two children and you all get in for FREE!

So if I just turn up on my own and don't take any children, do i still get a ticket?! I think the wording is a bit ambiguous? Surely NO children is still up to 2 children?!
  • Balls, missed out on True Grit tickets :(
  • So anyway...thanks for the link to free TV screenings forum Geordie_Ben but for some reason it's completely disappeared and before I managed to note it down! How weird! Perhaps it was misread as offensive. I thought it was quite useful...

I'm guessing you don't need the children as it doesn't say you 'have' to bring any...

Apologies to those inconvenienced by my comment on the Free films board. I received a PM telling me off for commenting there, but I did it deliberately because its wrong to promote a commercial service on a thread which is (as stated in the title) for free film codes only.

Just commenting here would be like those newspapers which print a big lie on the front page then apologise a few days later at the bottom of page 25.
I've only just seen this and have already pm'd you, but you are totally wrong of course.

The Times previews ARE of course completely free (just as the Sky ones etc. are). Yes, you need to be part of that particular service which may have a cost attached, but the films themselves are entirely free.

And the thread is of course the free film codes etc. thread....

Nobody is "promoting a commercial service" - they're helping people out by alerting them to the availability of FREE films!!

I completely agree with thefrenzexperiment, I didn't see your post in here blahbladoh before PMing, but if you think a post is inappropriate surely its better to take it up with the OP or report it to a BG, rather than spam us all with a false notifications.....

The Times do also offer some of there previews to non subscribers, even if they are initially for subscribers only such as The Fighter and Morning Glory which was previewed yesterday and opened up to non-subscribers. :)
    :hello:

Apart from that particular debate you don't need to be a paid Times subscriber.......they just get first dibs. I got tickets for a film recently and their (free) temporary times plus membership.
Thank you for booking tickets to The Fighter.

You have been given temporary membership to Times+, which is valid for this film screening only. Times+ members get priority access to tickets to our preview screenings and regular preview screenings throughout the year. To find out more about Times+ CLICK HERE.

Your temporary membership is only valid with a copy of The Times or The Sunday Times on the date of the screening.
You are supposed to have a copy of the paper IIRC. If you really want 100% free I'm sure you could find a copy on a train :)

Thanks to all the codes posters on the codes thread - including those who post timesplus offers.
  • Absolutely.

Just noticed this on the synopsis for the screenings of Tangled at Cineworlds on the 17th Jan
    Tangled

    Synopsis
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a 3D film so glasses will be required. There will be a charge of £1 per pair for the glasses.

I wasn't aware of it when I booked my tickets for the screening on the 9th and ended up paying for them :((I usually put mine in the recycling box they have for them on the way out at some cinemas).

It looks as though Cineworld may have set their stall out for charging - I hope the others don't follow.
