As far as I know yes - our LPG powered car was allowed on the IOW ferry....

LPG's advantage is its not effected by changes in price due to oil prices rising, other advantage is you don't pay a congestion charge and lowered road tax I believe

thanks. I've long been put off by the thought of having my car landlocked after conversion!

OP, how many miles do you do in a year? Have you actually worked out if it will save you money? My dad has run two of his cars on LPG for the last 4 or 5 years and has now decided to just run them on petrol. This is due to a number of factors: he doesn't feel the financial gains are worthwhile any more & this with cars with 3litre & 6 litre engines & he is fed up with loosing boot space to the tanks.

Do your calculations & make sure it is in your favour before converting.
